Reckless rabbit rascals penetrate the Carrot Yard famous of its giant carrots. The rabbits are trying to loot as many carrots as they can, competing with each other. But their hardest challenge is to avoid the two hostile mastiffs that bite every stranger whoever sets foot in the garden. A stirring chasing-about and hide-and-seek begins among the bushes – while some rabbit droppings are left behind too.
In Carrot Yard players control their own rabbit, but they also move the dogs. The steps of the animals are directed by movement cards: one half of a card instructs the rabbit, the other half instructs the dog. The players’ objective is to collect as many carrots as possible and to increase their scores by having the dogs bite the rabbits of the opponents.
Rabbit droppings have a special purpose. If a player’s rabbit misses to leave droppings on the board, penalty points will be deducted from the player’s scores at the end of the game. On the other hand, rabbit droppings left on the board obstruct the movement: if a rabbit crosses or lands on a field where there is a dropping, it slips on it and loses a carrot.
